Kindergarten Registration

 

The formal registration period for next year’s Kindergarten program will run the week of Monday, January 30 – Friday, February 3. However, registration will be on-going for families who are not able to register next week.

Next year D. Roy Kennedy will be offering full-day kindergarten for both our Junior and Senior kindergarten students.

Extended Day Program Surveys

Next year D. Roy Kennedy will be offering the Extended Day Program for children registered at the school up to the age of 10. Parents who are interested in registering their child(ren) will be asked to complete and return a completed survey by February 29th. This information will be very important in helping to plan for the child care needs expressed by the D. Roy Kennedy community.

The Extended Day program will be run by a well established 3rd party operator, the Whitehaven Kindergarten School Age Program, supervised by Jayne Gauthier.

 DRK Coffee House

On Thursday, February 9th from 6p.m.–8p.m., the Intermediate Student Council of D. Roy has assembled an event called the “Coffee House” that will be held in the large gymnasium.  It will be an evening of dim lights, acoustic music performed by students, and baked-goods accompanied by a hot chocolate or coffee.  The funds raised will help support the Grade 7 and 8 end of year field trips.  Admission is $1.00 in advance or $2.00 at the door.  Students will be able to purchase advance entrance beginning on February 1st.  Please show your support by joining us for a night of great entertainment and help make our intermediate field trips a time they will always remember.

Requests about daycare should be addressed to Whitehaven Kindergarten School Age
Centre at (613) 759-8364. Also, there is a before and after school activities program on
