Student Attendance

Regular, consistent attendance at school is of the utmost importance for all students.  It sets a path for the appropriate academic and social development of a child.  Student attendance is monitored by the school principal and vice-principal to ensure that appropriate attendance is taking place and to offer any supports to families that may be in need.

Student absences must be reported to the office by parents.

Attendance Procedures:  Please inform the school on any day when a child will be absent or late arriving. Our attendance line is 613-722-0647. Our 24-hour answering machine will record messages received outside of school office hours and during busy periods. Daily attendance calls take place by the office when a child's absence has not been reported.

A child is considered late at the beginning of the day if they have arrived during the playing of O' Canada (or later).  This starts at approximately 9:22 AM daily.  Students must report to the office to obtain a late slip before going to class.

Changes: If you know of absences that will be taking place in the future, please let your child's homeroom teacher and the office know. Please update us on any changes that occur in contact information. This is of the utmost importance to ensure the safety and security of your child.
