We have two entry and exit points for students at the beginning and end of the day.
Beginning of Day
Bus and van students arrive via yellow school bus. Buses and Vans enter the DRK property at the south end of the school in the designated bus lanes. Students are met by the duty teacher and Educational Assistants. They then proceed around the south end of the school onto school property. Students who walk or are driven to school by their parents will enter through the north entrance to the property. As the space in our parking lot is limited, we ask parents/guardians who are driving to school to park on an adjacent street and walk their child to school.
End of Day
Bus students proceed to their bus line at the south end of the school, exiting the building through Door D. Buses and Vans are loaded under the supervision of the Vice-Principal, Educational Assistants, and Early Childhood Educators. Walking students and students who are picked up by their parents at the end of the day will exit the property between 3:45 and 3:55 to make their way home. The duty teacher will supervise this exit procedure.
